When the president said he thought that the collapsing stock market now offers some potentially good buying opportunities, I could only think of that 1932, Depression Era song by Irving Berlin, inspired by the then-president's assurance that "Prosperity is just around the corner" --as he raised taxes on investors.

LET'S HAVE ANOTHER CUP OF COFFEE
Just around the corner,
There's a rainbow in the sky,
So let's have another cup of coffee,
And let's have another piece of pie.
Trouble's like a bubble,
And the clouds will soon roll by,
So let's have another cup of coffee,
And let's have another piece of pie.
Mr. Herbert Hoover
Says that now's the time to buy,
So let's have another cup of coffee,
And let's have another piece of pie!
